Rail
The nearest railway station is at Alnmouth, on the East Coast main line between London King's Cross and Scotland. The station is approximately four miles from Longhoughton and Boulmer. There is no direct bus service between Boulmer and Alnmouth station but taxis are available and there is a telephone in the waiting room at the station. MT will provide transport to the station on Friday afternoon (by request), and back to Boulmer on Sunday evenings (call 01665 607436 or extension 7436 for latest timings). Bus
Limited bus services operate between Longhoughton and Alnwick from where connections may be made to other local destinations, including an hourly coach service to Newcastle. The latest timetable is displayed at the bus stop located adjacent to the SPAR shop in Longhoughton.

The nearest airport is Newcastle International, 35 miles south of Boulmer on the A1. Internal flights to various UK airports are available and the airport boasts a choice of over 85 destinations worldwide.
