CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR GRANT – REVISED OPENING HOURS
Please note the revised opening hours and emergency contact numbers for the Christmas and New Year Grant period for Messes, Central Registry, PSF, Welfare, Cashier, Travel Cell, Station Medical/Dental Centre, MT, Library, SERCO, HIVE, SPAR and Carillion Enterprise.
CATERING
Normal arrangements will be in place up until dinner on Thu 22 Dec 11.
OFFRS’ MESS
The Offrs’ Mess will be closed following dinner on Thu 22 Dec 11 and will re-open for Breakfast on Tue 3 Jan 12. The honesty bar will be available throughout this period, and a cold breakfast will be available in the supper room. For the period 23 Dec 11-2 Jan 12 (incl) officers will be able to use the dining room and bar of the WO & Sgts’ Mess (see below for timings).
WO & SGTS’ MESS
The WO & Sgts’ Mess will operate slightly longer meal times throughout the Christmas break (23 Dec 11-2 Jan 12) as follows:

Throughout the Xmas period (23 Dec – 2 Jan) the bar will be open as follows (but please note exceptions below)

Please note there will be no bar available on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day, but it will be open until midnight on New Years Eve.
JRM/DUKES
Dukes will offer a reduced Service from Sat 17 Dec 11– Thu 22 Dec 11 (incl) with opening hours of 1800 – 2300 (food will cease at 2100).
The JRM and Dukes will both close after final orders on Thu 22 Dec 11 and will re-open on Tue 3 Jan 12.
For the period 23 Dec 11– 2 Jan 12 inclusive the JRs are able to use the dining room and bar of the WO & Sgts’ Mess (see timings above).
FEEDER
The Feeder will operate as normal until COP on Fri 23 Dec 11 and re-open for normal business on Tue 3 Jan 12. Weekend arrangements (ie booking / calling forward of meals) will be in place from Sat 24 Dec until Mon 2 Jan 12.
Normal arrangements for all Messes, Dukes and Feeder will resume on Tue 3 Jan 12.
CENTRAL REGISTRY
The Central Registry will be open at the following times over the Christmas/New Year Grant. MT will not be making mail delivery runs throughout this period; sections who wish to will need to arrange collection of mail from the Central Registry.

PSF
PSF will operate at minimum manning for the period 19-23 Dec 11. For the period 24 Dec 11-2 Jan 12 the Duty Clk can be contacted for emergencies via the Orderly Officer (contactable through the Main Guardroom Ext 7517).
PADRE / SSAFA WELFARE REPRESENTATIVE

STATION ACCOUNTS & TRAVEL CELL
All personnel please be advised that the Stn Cashier, Accounts & Travel Cell staff will close for the festive period at cease work Tues 20 Dec 11 and not re-open until Tues 3 Jan 12.
STATION CASHIER – EARLY CLOSING – 15 DEC 11
Amended opening hours for the Station Cashier on Thu 14 Dec 11 are as follows:

STATION MEDICAL CENTRE
The SMC will be open for routine enquiries and Nurse / Physio appointments until COP 23 Dec 11
19th – 30 Dec 11 Doctor’s appointments will be only be available via sick parade between the hours of 0930 – 1030hrs at the Infirmary Drive Medical Group, Alnwick. Please contact the surgery on 01665 602388 to make an appointment.
MT transport will convey patients for the sick parade and will depart MT at 0900hrs and return at 1100hrs.
If you require medical attention during weekends or Bank Holidays you are to;
a. Contact NHS Direct on 0845 4647. They are able to offer advice on any medical or dental problem 24 hrs a day, all year round.
b. If you are able to make your own way to hospital, report to the Minor Injuries Department at Alnwick Infirmary, who can be contacted on 01665 626700. GP cover is available (including visits if clinically necessary), via an out of hours GP provider.
c. In the event of a Medical Emergency dial 999”
STATION DENTAL CENTRE
The Dental Centre will close at 1200 hrs on Fri 23 Dec 11 and re-open on Tue 3 Jan 12.
Personnel requiring emergency treatment, outside of these hours musk seek treatment via NHS Direct. Further advice and the location of a local NHS dental practice can be sought by contacting NHS Direct on 0845 4647 or at http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/
After receiving treatment from a NHS dental practitioner, you must report to this dental centre as soon as possible so your dental records may be updated and any treatment completed as necessary. Dental Centre staff will then be able to co-ordinate reimbursement of any costs incurred for treatment. It must be stressed that the cost of treatment for the relief of pain only will be reimbursed.
As a last resort, you may also contact the MRS at Catterick on 01748 873 080, who will contact the duty dentist.
Whilst on leave in the UK, military personnel may obtain emergency treatment at any DDS dental centre. Where this is impractical due to distance or other difficulty, personnel may seek emergency treatment via a NHS dental practitioner.
LIBRARY/CLC
The Stn Library and CLC will be open until COP on 23 Dec 11. It will then be closed from 24 Dec 11- 4 Jan 12.
MT
The MT Flt will be open 0700-2230 23 Dec 10 until 03 Jan 12 operating a minimum shift pattern. Personnel requiring urgent MT outside these hours should seek the authority of the Orderly Officer who can be contacted via the Main Guardroom Ext 7517.
CARILLION ENTERPRISES (CE) – WORKS SERVICES
C-E will be working up until Fri 23 Dec 11 and reopen on Tue 3 Jan 12. On-call staff will be available 24/7 throughout the Grant, as is the C-E Speke Help Desk (Tel: 0151 728 1700).
Week commencing 12th Dec, all none essential or routine works service requests (i.e. priority 5’s which have a target completion of 20 working days) should be held over until the New Year.
SERCO
SERCO out of hours contact throughout the Grant Period is to be through the Main Guardroom on Ext 7517.

The HIVE will be open as follows:
