The world famous Royal Air Force Parachute Display Team, based at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, launched the 2012 Season with a fantastic display at The Leys in Witney watched by some 500 pupils from the local schools and an equal number of enthusiastic teachers, parents and members of the public and the Town Mayor Mr Eaglestone who was Guest of Honour.

British Army Air Despatchers from 47 Air Despatch Squadron RLC – currently based at RAF Brize Norton - and members of the RAF Queen’s Colour Squadron, have buried the air crew, air despatchers and passengers who died onboard Dakota KN630 when it crashed into the jungle in 1950.

RAF Brize Norton has been given the honour of custodian of the Baton until the Baton run on 16 Jun 12. The Baton run was originally from LYN to the National Arboretum, Litchfield and switched the BZN last year in November. It is a symbol of support not only for the injured service men but their friends and family.
