Coast to Coast

Day 29

After a relaxing day catching up on tasks we needed to complete at the site in Delphos, and enjoying our only night out of the week on Thursday, it was business as usual today. Apart from this morning was the start of the last week of Op Longroad. We left the RV at 0700hrs and drove to the finishing point where we completed Thursdays ride. From there we got going at a good pace and once again headed East on a 96 mile leg to a large town called Mansfield. The road conditions were all in our favour and we were cruising at an average pace of 21.4 MPH. We managed to complete 32 miles of the leg before our first break and a welcome cup of coffee. After that we got our heads down and pushed on, I had some problems with my back gear cassette and had to do some minor adjustments to rectify them. Other than that it was pretty much plain sailing today and we reached Mansfield at 14.00hrs making it a 6 hour ride today which was very good.

On route today we saw some more wildlife (actually alive) including racoon, wild turkey x 5, lots of wild deer and a wild boar. So all in all a pretty interesting and enjoyable ride today.
