RAF Cranwell hosts many units with a training function. Examples are the RAF College and Directorate of Recruiting responsible for recruiting, selection and cadet training and No 3 Flying Training School that conducts advanced pilot and rear crew training. Other departments provide training functions for the Air Cadets, RAF and other Armed Forces personnel from the UK and abroad.
