RAFFCA Member Discounts

One of the benefits which membership of the Royal Air Force Flying Clubs Association (RAFFCA) brings to all of us is discounted purchase deals on a range of items from major suppliers. A wide range of deals has now been available for over a year using the RAFFCA discount for headsets, GPS, kneeboards, radios etc etc. All club members - both military and civil are fully entitles to make use of these discounts. Pooley's Flight Equipment

Sebastian Pooley, Managing Director of Pooley's, has kindly agreed to offer RAFFCA members a 10% discount on their products. To receive this discount members need to enter the promotional code 'military' during checkout stage 2 on the website. Unfortunately this discount is not available on electronic items, however the company will do their best to price match and have suggested that individuals call Pooley's Elstree office where best prices can be discussed. In addition to the individual RAFFCA member discount, Pooley's have also kindly agreed to offer a full trade discount of 35% to RAFFCA clubs. Headset Services Limited

I have secured a corporate discount agreement with Headset Services Limited who supply aviation headsets and ancillaries. I have spoken to David Moxhay (Operations Manager) who is happy to offer a special rate for RAFFCA members across their range with the exception of Bose headsets, which are the one item they are no longer able to discount.

Besso Ltd

Besso Ltd are happy to fund the IPT (Insurance Premium Tax) which is currently rated at 5% on any Instructor Liability Insurance, and are happy to offer this if there is a group of around 10 new members purchasing the insurance. As RAFFCA are corporate AOPA member they are happy that the AOPA rate is applied. The premium costs approximately £180 per annum and has been extended to include examiners.

AOPA FI Seminars Discount

AOPA offer a 10% discount on their FI Seminars. AOPA's normal price (inc. VAT) is £250 but RAFFCA FIs are entitled to the discounted price of £225 (inc. VAT).

On-Track Aviation FI Seminars

An agreement has been made with On-Track Aviation Limited for RAFFCA members wishing to attend their Instructor Seminars which are held in February, April and October each year at Sywell, Northampton and Wellesbourne, Warwickshire. Instead of their normal price of £246.75, On-Track Aviation Limited have kindly agreed to offer RAFFCA members a 10% discount on their normal prices which is £189 + VAT (£222.07). In order to receive this discount RAFFCA members must book and pay for the seminar in the following way:

  • Complete a registration form.
  • Clearly state on the registration form which RAFFCA flying club you are a member of.
  • Payment must be by cheque in Pounds Sterling only payable to On-Track Aviation Ltd.
  • Registration form and payment must be posted to On-Track Aviation Ltd.
