RAF Wyton Malta Rally 2007
RAF Wyton Pathfinder Flying Club - Malta Rally 2007
The Malta Air Rally is an annual event involving pilots from throughout Europe. It is not a race but a series of events designed to test the airmanship and planning skills of those involved. The events include:
- A specific time to be over a Giordan Lighthouse at Gozo on your arrival date (12:10 L)
- A specific time to complete a certain distance based on cruising speed (8:35 from Lighthouse to Luqa ATC, a distance of 18.6 miles)
- Spot Landing competition
- Concours D’ Elegance
- Flight Planning
- Longest Distance Flown
This year’s event was intended to be the Royal Air Force Flying Clubs Association (RAFFCA) venue but for a myriad of reasons, RAF Wyton was the only RAFFCA aircraft to make it.
