There are also opportunities for civilian membership RAF Lyneham Flying Club was set-up in 2003 by some keen personnel serving at Lyneham.
It started as a small club with just one aircraft and limited amount of time available from an instructor. Since then it has grown steadily and now has approximately 150 members, 4 part-time instructors and a full-time instructor. The club now operates out of Cotswold Airport (Kemble) due to the closure of RAF Lyneham's airfield.
