Youth Activities

As part of our commitment to the local community, we are keen to get young people more involved with the Station, the RAF and space. We work with local schools, Air Cadet squadrons, youth groups and even individual young people to show them some of what we can offer – and this can mean young people visiting the Station itself!

As well as hosting groups, our Youth Activities Liaison Officer (YALO) and other personnel can visit youth groups to talk about what we do and why we do it, as well as providing top-class leadership and teamwork instruction and supporting the National Curriculum. We can also support work experience, although demand is high so we cannot guarantee that any individual application will be accepted.
