Making a Claim - Hole-in-One or Insurance
Making a Claim
In the event of a member wishing to make a claim, whether that be for the £100 for a Hole-in-One or for the personal liability insurance, members should contact the Deputy Chairman of the RAFGA Membership Scheme, Sqn Ldr Andy Wilson, on 0306 79 80056 or via email at 22TrgGp-FTSO2CamMOMR@mod.uk
Personal Liability Insurance
All current subscribing members of the RAFGA Membership Scheme are covered for up to £5M world-wide public liability insurance whilst taking part in golfing activities; either as a player or a spectator. It must be emphasised that the scheme is NOT a personal kit insurance policy and individuals should make separate arrangements to cover this possibility accordingly. In the unfortunate instance of an errant shot causing any 3rd party personal injury and/or 3rd party property damage, please inform the RAFGAMS Deputy Chairman as soon as practicable (or the RAFGAMS Chairman in his absence) by telephone or email. Post the initial notification telephone call and/or email, please then be able to provide the RAFGAMS Deputy Chairman with the following information as soon as possible thereafter:
- details of the competition/incident ie date, location
- contact details of who was present and witnessed the incident
- basic details of the damage that occurred
- a formal repair quote for any damage occurred.
It must be emphasised that NO 3rd party property repairs are to be carried out, until such time that formal written authorisation has been given by the RAFGAMS Deputy Chairman (or the RAFGAMS Chairman in his absence).
Hole-in-One Insurance
The RAFGAMS will award £100, to any current subscribing RAFGA member who scores a hole-in-one in a recognised RAF, golf club or society match, to offset the associated bar bills. The individual is to send the RAFGAMS Deputy Chairman a signed scorecard and a covering letter from the relevant Club Secretary/competition organiser to confirm the achievement and also his/her personal contact details to enable the forwarding of the cheque. Furthermore, please state what club was utilised eg 8 iron in achieving the ace. Once the RAFGAMS Deputy Chairman has received the required documentation, the recipient will then be issued a cheque and covering letter to mark the achievement in due course. In addition, the relevant details will be added to the RAFGA Hall of Fame eg individuals name, course, hole and club used, which can then be viewed on the RAFGA website.
