A6 Golf Challenge; 23 Jun
.A6 Golf Challenge; 23 Jun
The A6 Golf Challenge for 2011 will take place at Studley Wood Golf Club on Thursday 23 Jun 11. The cost of the day is £45 per person. Once again we have RAF Sports Board recognition whereby the event is deemed ‘duty’, saving a day’s leave, and travel costs can be reclaimed.
The format of the day involves a 9-hole morning Texas Scramble warm-up followed by the afternoon’s 2-man team Stableford main event. Ideally teams should be from the same Unit/organisation but, in the event of individual entries being received (which is perfectly acceptable), players will be paired off into teams.
The Application Form should be completed and returned to Sgt Jasper Timmins (details in Application Form), with your cheque, at your earliest convenience - but not later than 10 Jun 11. If the A6 Golf Challenge is over-subscribed, entries will be accepted on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
Your support in attending this increasingly popular event is strongly encouraged. The A6 Challenge serves as a mechanism for some highly competitive sport and also an informal branch/trade reunion which is an important aspect of the day's enjoyment. Why not browse through some photos from last year's event....
Please note that this event, whilst recognised by the RAF Sports Board, is not an official RAF Golf Association event, eligibility for entry being limited to serving personnel of the A6/CIS/ICT branches/trades or personnel currently serving in an A6/CIS/ICT post.
21 Jun Update:
Updated tee-times are now available....
