Senior Aircraftman Andrew Kenning, 33 from Snaith in the East Riding of Yorkshire joined the RAF in April 2007 after completing a GNVQ Advanced and 2 years at Glasgow University. Andrew trained at the Goole judo club aged 13-16 and occasionally attended the Yorkshire Judo Squad training sessions. His twin brother was also involved with judo and one of Andrew’s favourite judo memories was when he beat his brother in a regional judo competition at the age of 15! Currently an orange belt, Andrew won silver at the RAF Championships in 2008 and aims to improve enough to represent the RAF at a competitive level. Andrew works at RAF Lossiemouth, near Inverness, and enjoys climbing, gliding and any other adrenaline fuelled activities.
