STATION MEDICAL CENTRE
The Station Medical Centre at RAF Leeming provides Primary Health Care to all Service personnel and those dependants who live in Service Families Accommodation on base.
As well as providing routine general practice we are able to provide physiotherapy and rehabilitation therapy and have the visiting services of mental health workers and a midwife.
The practice is accredited as a training practice for General Practice which means we are responsible for the training and supervision of doctors who are completing their specialist training.
OPENING HOURS
Mon, Wed, Thurs 08.00 – 17.00 (Emergencies only 17.00 – 18.00)
Tues, Fri 08.00 – 12.00 (Emergencies only 12.00 – 18.00)
We operate a full appointment system including same day appointments which are freed at given times on the day itself. HOW YOU CAN HELP US
In return, we ask you:
1. To be courteous to our staff at all times; they are working under the doctors’ orders in the best interest of all our patients.
2. To call before 10.00am where possible for home visits to ensure we can plan our day effectively to everyone’s benefit. Please bear in mind that home visits are extremely time consuming. They must be medically justifiable and not requested for social convenience.
3. To attend appointments on time; if you have to cancel an appointment, please let us know so that another patient can be allocated your appointment.
4. To be realistic about the urgency for an appointment.
5. To take advantage of the health check you will be offered as a new patient joining the practice list, so that we can offer you the best medical care.
6. To give adequate notice in writing of your need for a repeat prescription well before your supply of medicine runs out. Please do not request repeat prescriptions over the telephone – to avoid mistakes our receptionists are not allowed to take them.
7. To inform us if you change your name, address, home and work telephone number as we may need to contact you urgently.
