Our normal surgery appointment times are 08.30 to 12.00 and 13.30 to 16.00 Monday to Friday.

Please note however that the dental centre is frequently closed (usually 2-3 days per week) due to clinical commitments at other units.

DENTAL INSPECTIONS

All service personnel are required to have a periodic dental inspection. You will be notified when this is due and should subsequently book an appointment.

DENTAL TREATMENT

You will be informed on the day of your inspection if further treatment is needed. The Dental Officer will explain the treatment plan and request your consent.

EMERGENCY TREATMENT – DURING WORKING HOURS

Personnel are requested to contact the dental centre first thing in the morning to be considered for the daily Sick Parade.

If the dental centre is closed, details of an alternative dental centre providing emergency cover will be available.

EMERGENCY TREATMENT – OUTSIDE OF WORKING HOURS

Personnel are to Contact the MRS Catterick on 01748 873080. The duty Dental Officer will be contacted from here. Out of hours duties are shared by the Dental Officers of local units and it is therefore likely that you will need to travel to be seen.

Serving personnel requiring urgent emergency dental treatment whilst on leave in the UK can report to their nearest DDS clinic where the necessary arrangements for treatment will be made. Where this is not possible, personnel can seek emergency treatment from their nearest NHS practice. A refund of the EMERGENCY aspect of any treatment may be claimed only if no DDS clinic is accessible and on the production of a receipt.

SPECIALIST TREATMENT

A range of clinical services are available within HM forces (e.g Hygienist, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery, Restorative Dentistry). A referral will be made if the Dental Officer considers it necessary.

DENTAL TREATMENT FOR DEPENDANTS
