HIVE information centres are open to everyone within the Service Community - Serving Personnel both married and single, together with their families and dependants, as well as civilians employed by the Services. Most HIVE information centres have access to the internet. With this technology, the information from the HIVE is easily accessed and is current. This is particularly useful to those who are posted to new areas and need advance information. Furthermore, opportunities exist for families to communicate with those deployed on operational duties.
HIVEs are there to offer a focal point for the local community, and to welcome new arrivals. They provide news and information on what is happening in the locality and will point you in the right direction for information that is not available to them. Accessibility is a key aspect of the HIVE organisation. Appointments are not required and dealings with the HIVE Information Officer are CONFIDENTIAL.
HIVEs are there to respond to the needs of the Service Community. Let them know your needs.
