Would you like RAFMAA to pay for your BMFA membership?

The primary aim of RAFMAA is be to increase the Service personnel of the RAF by stimulating the interest of service personnel in the science and art of flying. We can't do this alone, so have created the Chairman's Scheme.

1. If you as a Serving member help RAFMAA promote and further the sport of aeromodelling, RAFMAA will pay your next year's BMFA membership fee.

2. From 2013, the Chairman will present an annual award to the individual that in his opinion has furthered the sport of aeromodelling the most. Part of this award will be a voucher for £100 to be spent through the RAFMAA Equipment Scheme.

Here's how it works.

1. Before you submit your membership application form at the end of the year, submit the completed form below.

2. If your application is successful, you will be sent a serial number.

3. Insert this serial number as the BMFA Category within the membership application form.

4. Pay only for your Association and Club fee. RAFMAA will submit and pay for your BMFA membership on your behalf.

Terms and conditions

1. Chairman's Scheme applications received after membership payment has been made will only be refunded 90% of BMFA insurance if they are accepted. This is because RAFMAA pays processing fees for Paypal that cannot be recovered.

2. Chairman's Scheme applications received after the end of the calendar year will not be considered for that calendar year's Award and £100 voucher.

3. The Chairman's decision is final. RAFMAA will not enter into any discussion over why or why not a certain application was accepted or rejected.

4. Simply holding a position such as OIC does not in itself merit this award. Examples are required of actions taken and results achieved. i.e. 'I organised Air Experience flying for the local Air Cadets/Scouts.', 'I organised a RAFMAA stand at the stn Family's Day'.

4. RAFMAA Executive Committee members are not elible for the Award or £100 Equipment Scheme Voucher.
