II (AC) Squadron - Intelligence
The Int section is compromised of an Ops Spt (Int) junior officer and an Int Analyst.  The section works closely with the Ground Liaison Officer (GLO) who is normally an Army Major.
 
The Int section is responsible for ensuring the Sqn, including aircrew and ground personnel, understand the threat environment before and during a deployment.  Before a deployment, the Int section help create realistic scenarios for training sorties.  The section also produces regular written and verbal briefings, using a variety of classified and unclassified sources.
 
On deployment, the Int section is responsible for briefing all crews before their sortie.  Working in conjunction with the Ops staff, the Int section will give the crew an overview of their tasking and any relevant threat intelligence that may affect their mission.  When the mission is Close Air Support, the GLO will also give a briefing on the ground operation.  After each mission, the Int section de-brief the crew and pass a Mission Report back up the chain of command.
