II (AC) Squadron - Special Tasks
The imagery shown below shows one such vehicle. Warwickshire Constabulary provided details of a vehicle, who's weight exceeded 200 tonnes, and limited details of its route. These were then briefed to the aircrew as part of a sortie, and the crew tasked to find the vehicle. Due to poor visibility the crew on their return had been unable to locate the target visually. However a revue of the imagery taken on the mission revealed the exact location of the vehicle. Despite the poor weather its thermal signature was clear to see.
