Beavers Desert Rats Visit

Marham Beavers Visit the Desert Rats Memorial at Thetford

RAF Marham Beavers visit the Desert Rats Memorial at Thetford - July 2007

The Desert Rats Memorial in Thetford Forest was an interesting place to explore for Marham Beavers' last meeting on term. We walked through the woods, exploring the remains of the Second World War army camp and finding out about where the soliders lived, what they ate and how they spent their days. Part way around the circular forest walk the Beavers found a den made of logs and had fun seeing how many Beavers could squeeze into it at once. Thanks to all the parents who came around with us on the walk.

Beavers starts again on 4th September 2007 - please contact bsl@marhamscouts.co.uk if your son or daughter is aged 6 or 7 and interested in joining us.
