RAF Marham supports the SSAFA Big Brew

SERVING personnel, local schools and service families joined forces last week to support the annual SSAFA (Soldiers’, Sailors’ and Airmens’ Families Association) Big Brew, which raises funds to help service personnel and their families. RAF Marham SSAFA fundraisers organised a series of coffee mornings and cake sales throughout the week resulting in over £900 being raised at the base.

RAF Marham SSAFA Committee Chair Deborah Stewart said; “The Big Brew is about getting together with friends and colleagues to enjoy a nice cup of tea and a cake, whilst raising funds for a very worthwhile cause. I am delighted with the amount of funds we raised, everyone involved has worked hard to make this week a great success, but it has also been great fun. Importantly though, vital funds have been raised which will really make a difference to service families”.
