Richard Burns Memorial Rally Cheque Presentation at RAF Marham

Presenting the cheque was KLDMC President Colin Shinkins, and the Officer Commanding RBMR Wing Commander Paul Lloyd. On hand to receive the £24,000 donation raised at last years event, was Richard Burns Foundation Chairman David Lapworth [Technical Director of Prodrive UK]. pictured with Event sponsor [and competitor] Steve Tilburn. Also present representing the Organising Team was Squadron Leader Alan Huyton, Event Founder Chris Daykin, Event Director, Ken Paterson, and in the second and third pictures Squadron Leader Darren Berris [pilot of the Tornado that "started" the rally on the Saturday morning flypast].





The presentation also saw the unveiling of of plans for the 2011 Event scheduled at Marham on 13th & 14th August, and gave me the opportunity to say "how proud we were to represent a fantastic team of Rally and RAF volunteers organising a fitting tribute to Richard and in this our third year, raise a total of over £91,500 for the charities."
