Cleveland Aviation Society visit to RAF Marham

18 members of the Cleveland Aviation Society visited RAF Marham, in Norfolk. The Air Base is the home of 4 squadrons of GR4 Tornados. The visit started with a briefing on the role of the Station. After the briefing the visitors were shown around the Tornado Maintenance School, which trains all engineers who will be working on the Tornado.

Following lunch in the Junior Ranks Mess the visitors went to the ‘Bomb Dump’ and then spent two hours with IX (Bomber) Squadron. During the visit Mr Dennis Hickman from Acklam, Middlesborough said “The Station personnel have been very interesting and helpful. It has been an excellent visit which we have thoroughly enjoyed”.
