Easter Activities at RAF Marham April 2009
Spring is here and we are delighted to offer you the following activities please ensure you book early by completing the registration form on the back of this leaflet.
We hope that you enjoy our selection of events and activities for the Easter Holidays, but if there is something particular that you would like us to look at arranging for the summer holidays, do please call in to the HIVE/Community Hub and let us know.
If you are a deployed family then any of these activities are free to you.
Tuesday 7th April
Rockestra in the Youth Club from 1pm - 3 pm
A band skills workshop where you can have a go at playing instruments, making songs and performing. We are delighted to have secured the services of tutors from Community Music East who will provide the instruments and equipment, you make the music. (You can bring your own instrument if you have one)
Ages: 8 + Cost: £5
Family Junk in the Chaplaincy Centre from 1pm – 3pm
Rhythm and percussion workshop for families using junk instruments – anyone can join in!
Learn how to create funky rhythms using “found sounds” – instruments made out of anything and everything we find. Come and experiment with unusual instruments – sugar bowls, plastic pipes, wheelbarrow, flip-flops and even the kitchen sink! No experience necessary, bring the family and join in the fun at one of these sessions – our recycled rhythms are sure to get you moving!

Wednesday 8th April
Easter Egg Hunt and activities in the Sandringham Centre from 1pm – 4pm
This is a fun-filled afternoon with Paul and his team. Hunt the Easter egg as well as egg painting and lots more to do, so come and join in the fun!

Tuesday 14th April
Will be the same as Tuesday 7th April
Wednesday 15th April
Multi activity sports day in the Sandringham Centre from 1pm – 4pm
You will be worn out at the end of this packed afternoon of activities from cricket, football, judo, juggling, rugby, and basketball, in fact you name it and we’ll play it. The afternoon will finish with a medal award ceremony, not just for the winners but also for everyone who has had a go at learning something new, so again come and join in the fun!
All ages: Cost £4
Thursday 16th April
Spring Fling at the Norfolk Showground 9am - 3.30pm
This is an exciting day out aimed at families and children aged 4 - 14 years with displays and
exhibitions featuring all aspects of food, farming and the countryside and a team of volunteers will
be taking visitors on tractor and trailer rides around the showground. A free activity book, which
includes a map of the displays, has been produced and visitors will be encouraged to collect
“stamps” from the various stalls.
To get there for the start of the day we will have to leave about 8.30am and we will be back at
Marham for about 4pm
All ages: Cost £6 that will include a hog roast lunch and a drink. Only babies will go free.
Saturday March 21st
Volunteers and young people wanted to clean up youth club, BBQ provided. 10am - 4pm

Bring and share lunch in the Chaplaincy Centre

Open to all but if you are a deployed family pick up a voucher from the HIVE and you will get lunch free.

The Farmers Market at Marham is now established as the place to go for fresh local produce, and grows from strength to strength each month, there are approximately 20 regular stalls selling local fresh produce on the 3rd Friday of every month in the Sandringham Centre.
