RAF Marham Exercises the Freedom of the Borough Parade of King's Lynn and West Norfolk on 22 July 2007

The RAF Marham 138 Expeditionary Wing, comprising of No II (Army Cooperation), No IX (Bomber), No XIII and 31 Squadrons and station personnel exercised their right to parade through King’s Lynn in Norfolk. The four squadron standards were paraded, along with two ceremonial flights, the music was provided by the Band of the RAF Regiment and the fly-past was provided by two Tornados from No 2 (Army Cooperation) Squadron.

The Mayor of King’s Lynn, Mrs Kathy Mellish was the reviewing officer.

Background Information:
Personnel from RAF Marham will march through the town of King's Lynn exercising their rights of the Freedom of the Borough Parade of King's Lynn and West Norfolk on:
Sunday 22 July 2007
at 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
on the Tuesday Market Place

The Parade and Standards will March On at 2:10 pm

A flypast of 4 Tornado GR4s will commence at 2:30 pm

All are welcome to watch the annual ceremony when RAF Marham exercises it's Freedom of the Borough.

FREEDOM OF KING’S LYNN - FLYPAST REHEARSAL – THURSDAY 12 JULY 2007

On Thursday 12 July between 2.00 pm - 2.30 pm, 2 Tornado GR4s from RAF Marham will be involved in a practice training Flypast for the Freedom of Borough Parade to be held on Sunday 22nd July. The aircraft will approach from the direction of the Dukes Head flying over the Corn Exchange in the Tuesday Market Place, and may cause extra noise disturbance.

The Tornados will fly at approximately 1,000ft at 300kts.
