Home Alone Coffee Morning at RAF Marham in the Church Centre on Fridays - 9:30 am - 11:30 am
For the spouses of RAF Marham Service Personnel on deployment, their weekly coffee morning offers everyone a chance to get together. Normally in the summer holidays, coffee mornings cease, but due to the important support that Home Alone offers there was a need to continue during the summer holidays with the children being off school their usual venue was not big enough and what would the children do?
Norfolk Family Learning Programme came to the rescue. Rita Broomfield , RAF Marhams’ Community Development Officer met them at the Stations’ Learning Centre Open Day and was only to pleased to bring them on board to help.
Home Alone has now moved to a larger venue for the summer holidays, so every Friday between 10.00am and 12noon, Christina Hodgins, a facilitator of the group from Norfolk Family Learning Centre will come along with a variety of games and activities. Christina said “We will be bringing activities for families to enjoy together and have fun”. These will include clay modelling, kite making, painting, bingo and outdoor events with refreshments provided.
If you are home alone or would like to meet new people, why not come along and support the Coffee Morning. It is an opportunity for your to relax, have a chat and enjoy a bit of fun and games with your family, friends and other families in similar situations.
