RAF Marham Ops girls swim the Channel for Breast Cancer Appeal - October 2007
RAF Marham Ops girls swim the Channel for Breast Cancer Appeal on 30 October 2007
Ten Ladies from Ops Wing will be completing a ‘Swimathon’ on Tuesday 30th October; a Charity Fundraising Swimming Event to raise money through sponsorship for Breast Cancer Campaign. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so it seemed the perfect time to raise money and increase awareness to such a worthwhile charity.
The group will, between them, swim the equivalent of the English Channel (some 21,875 miles) throughout the course of the day – that’s a lot of lengths!
This figure will be split between the 10 participating ladies who will equally divide the amount into lengths of a pool.
Please show your support by sponsoring the team – sponsorship forms can be found in Station Ops, the Station Gymnasium and within Station HQ (don’t forget to include your section extension number).
