Youth Bus Visits RAF Marham - 19 June 2007 - Photos
The first Youth Bus visit to RAF Marham on Thursday 19 June 2007 was a huge success
The youth of Marham, along with a few of their parents took the opportunity to inspect the Youth Bus (on loan for the night from Fakenham) which was parked outside the Main Gate at Marham.
One youth commented that he seemed to think that having a Youth Bus at Marham would be an excellent idea, primarily because his friends are tired of having no particular place to go on an evening which they could call their own and also a place which is also warm and sheltered other than the Bowl or indeed having to hang outside the shop as is the case now.
The rest of the 14+ Marham Youth Club members seemed to like the idea of having a bus also.
Another young member of the 14+ Youth Club commented that it would be nice to have someone to talk with total confidence and privacy i.e. an independent Youth Worker onboard who was neither RAF related nor a parent together with some information leaflets which are Youth related and pertinent. These included such things as Drug, Alcohol, College and Sex education and STI information leaflets etc. He also stated that it would be a good place to just hangout for a while with friends. It seems that unsurprisingly, the Marham Youth want the same things as the Fakenham Youth.
