Summer Youth Activities Programme 2008

Introduction
Community Support Squadron and the HIVE have been working together to provide a full programme of activities for Summer

2008. Below you will see a brief description of each activity, when and where it is being held and the cost, should you

require further information on any activity or in general then please do not hesitate to contact us.

We have also added in other events taking place locally that we think may be of interest to you and your family, again for

more details call into the HIVE for the most up to date information.

Booking for the Summer Activities can be made at the HIVE with either Joanne Robson (HIVE Information Officer) or Rita

Broomfield (Community Development Officer). Bookings must be made by 18th July at very latest but we would appreciate early

bookings as then we can book tickets / transport and ensure all activities run, we will have to cancel activities if there

is no interest so PLEASE book early and tell all your friends!! Lets make Summer 2008 one to remember!

Summer 2008 Activities
Monday 28th July
Day trip to Sandringham Woods
A family day out with time to play, have a picnic and enjoy the surroundings.
Coach leaves Sandringham Centre at 9.30 am returning by 3.00 pm
Cost - £5 per adult, £3 per child

Monday 4th August
Trip to Sealife Centre and time at Hunstanton
A full day out including a visit to The Sealife Centre the free time to spend at Hunstanton.
Coach leaves Sandringham Centre at 10.00 am returning by 5.00 pm
Cost - £5 per adult, £3 per child

Monday 11tht August
Trip to Melsop Farm
A day out to Melsop Farm where you can meet all the farm animals and maybe even feed some?
A play area and picnic area are available to complete the fun!
Coach leaves Sandringahm Centre at 10.00 am returning by 4.00 pm
Cost £5 per adult , £3 per child.

Monday 18th August
A trip to Walsingham and Wells
A day out beginning at Waslingham then catch the train to wells to spend a couple of hours in the seaside resort before returning on the train to Walsingham then home!
Coach leaves Sandringham Centre at 9.45 am returning by 4.30 pm
Cost - £5 Adult, £3 child

Tuesday 29th July, 5th Aug, 12th Aug, 19th Aug, 26th Aug
Cinema Club
A chance to see a newly released film at the Station Cinema
Meet at Chaplaincy Centre 10.00 am, return at 12 noon
Cost - £1 per person

Tuesday 5th August
Fire & Dog Section visit
A chance to visit the Dog & Fire Section at RAF Marham, with
displays and tours at both sections.
Meet at Sandringham Centre at 1.15 pm, return at 4.15 pm
All welcome
Cost - £1 per person

Tuesday 12th August
2620 Squadron Children’s Assault Course
An amazing opportunity to have a go on the assault course at 2620 Squadron
Meet at Sandringham Centre at 12.45 pm, return at 3.15 pm
Ages 2 – 15 Cost £1 per person

Tuesday 19th August
Fire Section Visit
A chance to visit the Fire Section at RAF Marham
All welcome
Meet at Sandringham Centre at 1.15 pm, return at 2.45 pm
Cost - £1 per person

Tuesday 26th August
Dog Section Visit
A chance to visit the Dog Section at RAF Marham
All welcome
Meet at Sandringham Centre at 2.45 pm, return at 4.15 pm
Cost - £1 per person

Arts & Crafts
Ages 4 – 8, 10.00 am – 12 noon
Ages 8+ 1pm – 3.00 pm
Sandringham Centre
Cost - £3 per person, per session
Dance
Ages 8+ 10.00 am – 12 noon
Ages 4 – 8, 1.00 pm – 3.00 pm

If you would like to take part in both activities you may bring a packed lunch to eat in the Sandringham Centre between sessions.

Multi Sports Club
Ages 4 – 8, 1pm – 3pm
Ages 8+ 10am – 12pm
Marham Junior School
Cost £3 per person, per session
I.T Session
Ages 8+ 1.00 pm – 3.00 pm
A chance to produce a newsletter & includes photographs which you can take with the latest equipment
Marham Junior School
Cost - £3 per person, per session.

If you would like to attend both activities you may bring a packed lunch to eat at the School between sessions.

Family Fun Sessions 2 hours of Family Fun run alongside Home Alone, all welcome!

18th August – Family Race night
We are hoping to run a Family race night with Swaffham Lions, it will take place in the Sandringham Centre with a BBQ & refreshments. Swaffham Youth We are also hoping to link up with Swaffham Youth, they run activity days on: Friday 25th July, Monday 4th

August, Monday 18th August and Monday 1st September (from 11.30 am - 4.30 pm) if we get enough 13-17 year olds interested we will provide transport to and from Swaffham to join in with this. It will be an excellent opportunity to meet up with friends out of school and chill out for a few hours! If it is popular evening trips will commence on Monday 15th September 2008.

Tum 2 Teenies will be running as normal throughout the Summer so why not join in, they meet in the Sandringham Centre every

Kiddi Gym would like to continue through the holidays but needs volunteers to help run it, if you would like to help out even just for one session then please contact Sally on 338495

Don’t forget that the Camp provide 2 FREE shopping buses every week, they leave from the bus stop opposite the Spar shop at 9.30 am Thursday & Friday mornings and return by 1.30 pm-2.00 pm. Why not use them to meet friends, do some shopping or just have a wander round King’s Lynn?

Looking forward to September... Marham Wanderers are searching for new players, if you are interested in playing for the Under 10’s team then contact Paul Parkinson on (01760) 338973 , They meet every Wednesday at Marham village playing field at 5.30 pm for training. This year they are being sponsored by Listers Mini and will have a brand new kit so why not join, its fun and a great way to make friends!

Saturday 30th August 2008
11 am - 6 pm
on the Blacktop Sports Field - next to the Rainbow Childcare Centre at RAF Marham

We are looking for about 20 Teams of 10 adults to take part in It’s a Knockout for charity

Children’s It’s a Knockout also running!!
