Rainbow Centre - Norfolk Quality Assurance Award
MARHAM RAINBOW CHILDCARE CENTRE RECEIVES THE NORFOLK QUALITY ASSURANCE SCHEME AWARD
30 March 2007
The Management and Staff of the Rainbow Centre are very proud to have completed the Norfolk Quality Assurance Scheme. We will be celebrating this great achievement at our ‘Parents Day’ on Friday, March 30th, 10 am to 12:00 noon.
This term we are hosting a ‘Fun Day’ filled with Creative Activities, Treasure Hunts and Traditional Games played outside. The Day will be opened by OC Admin, and Janet Morgan, the Quality Assurance Co-ordinator will present us with our Award. This will be followed by music provided by ‘Caribbean Harmonics’ a Steel Band from Peterborough.

The benefits of undertaking the Norfolk Quality Assurance Scheme
Acknowledgement of high standards of practice and hard work.
Raise the providers’ sense of self-worth and enable them to value the work they are doing, developing confidence in their own abilities.
Indicate to others that the provider is offering a place of high quality for children and their parents.
It will provide a guide to quality for parents in choosing the best placement for their child.
It will reassure parents that the setting always strives to reach high standards in every respect.
What the Norfolk Quality Assurance Scheme is trying to achieve:
To bring people together to look at their own values and practice.
To develop relationships with a range of other providers.
To ensure all providers of child care and education will be viewed on an equal footing.
To recognise that, although the situations in which they are working are very different, the essential questions about quality are similar for all.
To be open to new ideas and prepared to make changes.
To give valuable public recognition to services achieving high quality.
Having the Norfolk Quality Assurance Scheme indicates a high level of quality. The assessment procedure is broader in scope and goes beyond the expectations of The National Standards.
