TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKING
All bookings must be paid for within 3 working days of a reservation being made. If payment is being made via the post, this must be received within 7 days.
A deposit does not hold a reservation beyond this point and if full payment is not received within the required time the reservation will be cancelled and the deposit returned.
A maximum period of one week may be booked at any one time. A refundable deposit of £25 (cheque) made payable to RAF Marham Service Fund is required for each Lodge booked. If cancellation takes place within the 7 days prior to occupation of the Lodge your deposit may not be refunded.
ACCOMMODATION
There are 6 Lodges, 4 of which are within the camp boundaries, the remaining 2 are situated just outside the main gate. The Lodges are comfortably furnished with central heating
and a fully equipped kitchen.
There are shops providing everyday essentials within the area, and the larger towns of Swaffham, Downham Market and King’s Lynn are each within a 20 minute drive.
OCCUPANCY PRIORITIES AND CHARGES
Priority 1 – Charge will be discretionary
Welfare or compassionate issues as directed by OC PSF, the Chief Clerk (or their authorised deputies).
Priority 2 – Charge £10.00 per night
Divorced/separated/estranged personnel who normally "live in" but have contact rights with their children and require alternative accommodation in order to be temporarily reunited with them. See Notes 1 & 2).
Priority 3 – Charge £25.00 per night
Personnel occupying family quarters at Royal Air Force Marham who require or wish to occupy temporary alternative accommodation in order to prepare for a "March In/Out". (See Notes 1 & 2).
Priority 4 – Charge £25.00 per night Monday to Thursday, £30.00 per night Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Other personnel with a need for additional accommodation for friends or relatives who may be visiting for a short period, or for those wishing to attend social functions but are unable to book service accommodation. (See Notes 1 & 2).
Notes:
1. A booking request from a higher priority will be considered over a lower one up to 7 days before the expected occupancy, beyond this point a booking will stand irrespective of priority. However, should a Priority 1 arise, this will take precedence over all other bookings.
2. In all cases the decision of the Officer IC is final.
ARRIVAL
You should plan to arrive no earlier than 14:00 hours. Prior to this time the Lodge is being prepared for you following the departure of previous occupants.
The keys will be available from the Main Guardroom.
DEPARTURE
You are to vacate the Lodge no later than10:00 hours on your date of departure. This will allow sufficient time for the Lodge to be prepared for the next occupant. Keys are to be returned to the Main Guardroom. Any discrepancies should be reported on the preparation sheet provided in each Lodge.
CLEANING
Before you occupy the Lodge it will have been cleaned and readied for your arrival. You will be expected to leave the Lodge clean and tidy. A Hoover, spare bin bags and basic cleaning utensils are provided for your use. All bins are to be emptied. You are to ensure that all cleaning fluids are kept out of reach of children.
BEDDING AND TOWELS
Bedding is provided but towels are not. On vacating the Lodge all used bedding is to be removed from the beds, folded and left on the floor adjacent to the bed or placed in the laundry bin provided.
HEATING
The radiators are controlled by thermostats. These radiators can get very hot so please ensure that any children in your party are supervised to prevent any accidents.
SMOKING
All Lodges at RAF Marham enforce a strictly NO SMOKING policy.
ANIMALS
Regrettably animals of any kind are not permitted in any of the Lodges. In accordance with Health & Safety we must ensure that the Lodges are as free from any allergy accelerators as possible.
BEHAVIOUR
Your behaviour should not be excessive or rowdy at any time. Moreover, offensive or illegal behaviour will not be tolerated and could result in you being asked to vacate the premises. This decision will be at our sole discretion.
DAMAGE
You are expected to use the Lodge and its contents with care and you are responsible for any and all damage caused. On departure you are to leave the Lodge in a clean and tidy condition. We reserve the right to charge you for any loss or damage to the property.
LIABILITY
We will always try our best to give prompt assistance if you or any member of your party is in difficulty. In all cases our liability to you is limited to the cost of your booking. In particular we
accept no liability for any accident, loss or damage to your belongings unless such loss etc is demonstrably due to our negligence.
CHILDREN
You must supervise your children at all times, particularly in respect of the stairs, windows, heating and appliances within the Lodge. High chairs and child gates are provided, however, it is your responsibility to check they are secured properly for the entire duration of your stay.
CAR PARKING
Vehicles should only be parked in authorised car parks.
RESPONSIBILITY
The Lodge has been assigned for your use and those that follow. You will be responsible for reporting any damages and repairs that may be necessary following your departure. These should be reported on the preparation sheet provided in each Lodge. Damages deemed to be beyond "reasonable use" or "fair wear and tear" may necessitate the raising of a financial recovery against you.
