Rainbow Centre Pre-school Rooms

The pre-school area is inviting, rich, stimulating, interesting and challenging, offering continuous provision throughout whilst ensuring a balance of adult-led and child initiated activities. Activities are based on children’s interests and the next steps in their development, building on what they already know, supporting and challenging them to extend their skills. Observations and assessments of children’s progress are noted regularly and are used to inform planning. Staff encourage all children to develop their own learning, make their own choices and pursue their own interests within the boundaries and policies of the Centre. We actively encourage parents’ involvement and information from discussions reference their children’s progress away from the Centre is used as information alongside our own to update the next steps for children’s development.
