Combined Services placings at the UKTA Open 2007

The United KIngdom Tar Kwon-do Open Competition was a very successfull tournament fot the Combined Services Squad. Competing against National and International fighters, the squad of eleven competitors came away with an exceptionally credable 9 medals.

Following a very long day with some of the CS officals workings as umpires and scorers from 1000 hrs until the completion at 2000 hrs, the medal tally was as follows;

Flt Lt Di Carbutt        Silver medal, female Black belt sparring-under 70kg.

WO2 Alan Bissett      Bronze medal, male Black Belt Veterans sparring.

Cpl Ian Matthews       Bronze medal, male Black Belt sparring -under 78kg.

AET Tom Springall    Bronze medal, male Black Belt sparring -under 78kg

MA Kylie Springall      Bronze medal, female Black Belt sparring -under 63kg.

SAC Sunita Kaul         Bronze medal , female Black Belt sparring -under 63kg

Fg Off Laura Morfee    Bronze medal female Black belt sparring-under 57 kg.

SAC Leighton James    Bronze medal,Blue Belt sparring patterns.

AET Brian Clarke         Bronze medal, Green/Yellow Belt sparring.
