Inter Service Championships

Annual Inter-Service Martial Art Championships. This is an event that it hosted by each service on a rotational basis. Those fighters selected from the individual service championships are brought together to compete in a whole range of different disciplines and categories either as part of a team event or as an individual. Events run at this competition are Point Stop kumite & Karate Kata, Light Continuous sparring and Patterns for ITF Taekwondo, Full contact sparring and Patterns for WTF Taekwondo, Kendo sparring and an open Weapons forms category.

All of these events are fought at either coloured belt grade or black belt grade, with the exception of the weapons and Kendo categories which are competed at across all ranges of grades. There are no separate weight categories with the fighting elements. Fighters whom compete in any of these events, can be selected for Combined Service representation at various civilian competitions. All RAF Team members competing in this event will qualify for their Full RAF Colours.
