RAFMSA SPEED CHALLENGE

In order to provide a budget level entry into motor sports for RAFMSA members, the RAFMSA organises the RAFMSA Speed Challenge. This comprises a series of Sprints held at the RAFMSA motor-sports facility at RAF Barkston Heath. Classes and points scoring are so arranged to ensure fair competition for all grades of cars and drivers, indeed standard production cars are actively encouraged in this event format.

The Speed Challenge attracts a wide variety of cars, however many members compete in cars that have been acquired and prepared for less than £300! Two such “budget-cars” have been shared by no less than 3 drivers resulting in a very cost effective entry into motor sport.

Cars run singly, consequently this enables you to concentrate on your driving and develop your skills in relatively safe surroundings. If there is any aspect of competing about which you are unsure, advice is always available from other members at events or via the forum – so what’s stopping you from giving it a go?
