Officers' Mess

The Officers' Mess is one of the oldest Messes in the RAF and is now a Grade II listed building. The central section of the Mess accommodated and fed pilots from before and during World War 2. Since those days some extensions have been added to increase the rooms available. As part of the MoDEL (MoD Estates London) project the Mess was extensively and sympathetically refurbished.

Eurest Support Services and the Mess Manager are responsible for the day to day running of the Mess. The PMC and Mess Committee organize the many functions hosted by the Mess.

Sergeants' Mess

The Sergeants' Mess has recently been extended to accommodate the influx of new personnel. The central quadrangle is named Gaglione Piazza after Master Aircrew Gaglione, the retiring CMC who had served in the post for some 9 years. The Mess provides excellent accommodation with all rooms having en-suite showers and toilets. Eurest Support Services and the Mess Manager are responsible for the day-to-day running of the Mess. The CMC and Mess Committee organize and supervise the functions in the Mess.

Junior Ranks Mess and Accommodation

The Junior Ranks Mess (JRM), situated close to the Station Main Entrance, provides food 3 times a day, every day, for all ranks up to and including Corporals. The JRM is a brand new building completed in 2010 (replacing the old North Star restuarant) and offers comfortable dining facilities for its customers. The catering contractor, Eurest Support Services aims to provide a high standard of messing including healthy and vegetarian options at all meals. The JRM Messing Committee meets on a quarterly basis to discuss the quality of food, service and general matters relating to the JRM. Each section has a representative and all views are considered and, where popular and practical, implemented.

Royal Air Force Northolt also has a number of brand new accommodation blocks that provide single rooms with bathroom en suite built to the latest standards.
