This week at Bastion Air Field there were an incredible 3,610 aircraft movements, handled by RAF ATC and Movements personnel. This quite clearly highlights the air base as one of the toughest of UK Air Traffic Control and Logistics Support assignments; due to the sheer complexity of the surrounding airspace and the diversity of inbound and outbound loads.
