French Visitors to 902 EAW

902 EAW had a visit from aircraft from the French Carrier Charles De Gaulle which is currently on station in the Persian Gulf. Rafale and Super Etendard aircraft fly from the Charles De Gaulle to provide ISAF Ground Commanders armed over watch in Afghanistan. RAF VC10 Tankers, from the 101 Sqn Detachment at 902 EAW’s Middle Eastern Airbase, routinely refuel coalition aircraft over Afghanistan including the Rafale and Super Etendard.
