1310 Flt RAF – Chinook – A very busy week for 1310 Flt with a particularly high number of passenger moves due to the on-going RiP between Op HERRICK 13 and 14. On top of this high tasking load, 7 Deliberate Operations have been supported including OP TOR KANJAK XI, an ‘infil’ of over 70 troops from Ops Coy, 1 R IRISH to a location in Nad-e Ali (S) with an exfil the following day.The Chinook force, along with wider JHF(A) support assets, also successfully conducted a ‘Hasty Operation’ this week. At short notice, troops were inserted onto the ground successfully seizing insurgent weaponry, further illustrating the flexibility and capability of helicopter operations in Afghanistan.
