The Nimrod R1 detachment, operating from 902 EAW, has had another excellent week meeting all its taskings. The Nimrod R1’s primary focus switched this week to support ISAF led operations, designed to maintain momentum against the Insurgents. The information gathered by the Nimrod R1 continues to be invaluable in highlighting Insurgent activity across Afghanistan, enabling ISAF and ANSF ground troops to plan and complete operations with advance knowledge of any potential Insurgent presence.
