The unique intelligence effect that the Nimrod R1 provides ISAF Ground Cdrs has again been used in several high priority operations, including the ISAF Joint Commands’ number one priority Op HAMKARI. The 902 EAW based 51 Sqn Nimrods have been used to great effect within KANDAHAR Province and enabled significant progress in the ISAF led operation to destroy and disrupt the insurgents’ lines of communication by maintaining information superiority.
