Camp Bastion

A 2 FP Wing officer took part in the inaugural Jirga with the USMC and representatives from the population centres within their Area of Operations (AO). The focus of the forum was to discuss with local people the possibility of creating a Community District Council within the AO and agree issues to take forward with the Nad e Ali District Governor.

Kandahar

7 FP Wing have begun the training of Mike and Cobra Squadrons from the US Army’s 2 Stryker Cavalry Regiment in Kandahar, part of Task Force Lightning, in preparation for the handover of 15 Squadron RAF Regiment to the US Army.
