RAF Waddington based Sentinel aircraft, based at 902 EAW in the Middle East, have had an impressive week providing Wide Area Searches with its Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI) radar. It has been patrolling the boundaries of large AOs supporting various large scale ISAF operations throughout RC(S) and RC(SW) which have significantly impacted upon the Insurgents freedom of movement and communication abilities. Sentinel has, in part, though become a victim of these recent remarkable successes and now regularly has requests at levels of operation or terrain that could restrict its wide ranging capabilities.
