VC10’s of 101 Squadron’s 902 EAW Detachment have provided nearly 160 tonnes of fuel to Coalition aircraft flying combat missions in support of ISAF troops in Afghanistan. In one incident this week, the VC10 extended on task to refuel multiple F18s due to a bottleneck of recovering aircraft caused by an F18 declaring an emergency at Kandahar Airfield.
