Northern Exposure 2010

In early 2010, a 4-man team from the RAF Regiment will attempt to ski unsupported to the Geographic North Pole. It is expected that the trek will take 60 days, over approximately 416 nautical miles (770 km) of the artic ocean, pulling a sled weighing in the region of 250lb. The expedition is an extreme test of strength, intelligence, endurance, courage, mental toughness and technical skills and is typical of the attitude and professionalism that forms the basis of training and life in the RAF Regiment.

Northern Exposure is an excellent example of the Adventurous Training oppurtunities available to all members of the RAF Regiment. The team will be introducing themselves soon and giving constant updates on their progress and training during the build up to 2010.
