Service in the RAF Reserves is normally on a part-time basis. However, you will see Full-Time Reserve Service (FTRS) vacancies advertised.
These roles are open, in the main, to ex-Service personnel. The broad principle behind the FTRS is that personnel are recruited to make use of skills and competences they already hold (from regular or other Reserve service). Training requirements, therefore, tend to be nil or limited to simple refresher training.
All Full Time Reserve Service (FTRS) vacancies are listed here. FTRS jobs are for reservists who wish to serve full time with regulars for a predetermined period in a specific posting.
