The job
Logistics Chefs provide a complete range of catering support for the RAF. This is a major support service helping the RAF to achieve its operational tasks. You could find yourself catering for hundreds of personnel in one of the messes on base, or out of a deployed field kitchen in the desert or even onboard ship. High standards of meal preparation and presentation are expected whether you are serving in an Officers’, Sergeants’ or Junior Ranks’ Mess. As part of your training, you will learn to cook in a mobile catering unit, so that you will be able to prepare, cook and serve food in a field environment.
