Qualifications you need: 2 A-levels or 3 Highers or equivalent, plus 5 GCSEs/SCEs at Grade C/3 minimum or equivalent, including English language and maths

Eligibility: Currently only recruiting suitably qualified ex military officers with experience within this role.
The job
The role of the police in the RAF Reserves is to protect personnel and vital operational equipment from criminal, terrorist and other threats. As an RAF Police Officer, you will be responsible for leading and managing teams of RAF Police in the UK and overseas. Officers can expect to serve on deployed operations overseas in a security and force protection role, helping to guard RAF bases and keep the flight pathways clear. Your work could include close protection (bodyguarding), protecting senior military officers, co-operating with other police and security organisations (UK and overseas), air transport security duties and police mentoring. RAF Reserves Police Officers are expected to have a high level of integrity and be physically robust in order to deal with a large range of challenging duties.
You will be trained in the essential skills required to do your job, including criminal law, how to conduct investigations, interview techniques, enhanced military skills and weapons training.
