New Coach leads the New RAFRU(W) Way
|
Croker took up a coaching position at his former club Richmond coaching the Women in the English Premiership. This opportunity led to his appointment as Head Coach for the London and |
South East Regional team and that same year joining the women’s Rugby Canada coaching staff for their tour of the UK.
After 2 years in the Women’s game Croker decided to turn his hand to the Men’s game where he worked at Henley Hawks and Cobham in staff roles before being offered Director of Rugby at Oakmeadians RFC. He did this successfully with two promotions in three years. During this period he was honoured to have coached the RAF U23’s to Inter Service Champions, have three successful years with the Combined Services U23’s and work with the RAF Senior set up under the guidance of WO Steve Worrell.
Croker has done a full circle now being appointed as the RAFRUW Head Coach and is enjoying the new challenge. Croker also enjoys cooking, spending time with his daughter Eloise and supporting his wife Emma who is part of the current England Rugby Women’s set up and English Weightlifting champion.

RAF Dominate Combined Services | |
| 09 Nov 11 Eight RAF/RAuxAF women were selected to represent the Combined Services when they played the British Police at Aldershot on 9 November. With Muir, Slungaard, Williams, Redmond (vice captain) and O'Donnell starting the RAF were at the centre of the action from the off. They were later joined on the field by Wilkinson and Halworth. This is the largest proportion of the team that the RAF has ever provided – yet more evidence of the closing gap between the services and a good sign for this years Inter Service campaign. The final score was a convincing 19-5 win to the Combined Services with Redmond and Williams scoring and the boot of O'Donnell converting two out of three attempts. |
