Welcome to the Royal Air Force Shawbury website
Our mission is to prepare and deliver robust personnel to meet the challenges of military service. Training on RAF Shawbury is conducted by the Defence Helicopter Flying School, the Central Flying School (Helicopter) Squadron and the Central Air Traffic Control School. Providing much of the equipment and support is our resident contractual partner, FB Heliservices Ltd, who also store a large number of frontline aircraft on our behalf. In the course of a year around 1000 students of all disciplines are trained at RAF Shawbury.
