Work Experience

RAF Shawbury offers Work Experience placements for Year-10 pupils during the year for students drawn from the Shropshire Education Authority area, although applications are accepted from students outside the area on a fill-up basis.

The four day program includes a visit to the following departments:

• Force Development
• Learning Centre
• Physical Education
• Central Air Traffic Control School
• Flight Operations Training
• Computer Systems
• Defence Helicopter Flying School
• Air Traffic Control
• Defence Fire Service
• Meteorology
• Office Administration
• Station Operations

How to Apply

Students should apply, preferably by letter, giving their reasons for a Work Experience placement and their preferred date (plus an alternative) to the:
